Guinness World Records crowns Call of Duty: Black Ops greatest video game ending

First-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 officially has the greatest video game ending of all time. The record-breaking game was handed the lofty accolade after over 13,000 gaming fans voted its ending the best ever. The military shooter beat some great games to be recognised in the Guinness World Records 2012. So, which other games did it beat? Read on to find out.

Since its release a year ago, Call of Duty: Black Ops has scooped plenty of record-breaking accolades. Being recognised as having the greatest ending ever is just the latest for a game that broke multiple sales records last year.

The vote stands as official, conducted for the Guinness World Records 2012, voted for by 13,519 fans of gaming. For those yet to play Call of Duty: Black Ops, we won’t say what the ending involves. But what about the rest?

Second place in the list is Xbox 360-exclusive first-person shooter Halo: Reach – a prequel to the original Halo games in which players battle against alien forces threatening to overwhelm a distant planet.
