Samsung is adding to the GALAXY line the new mid-range GALAXY S Advance smartphone. The new phone, as its name tells, is an advanced version of the GALAXY S. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM. It will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The Advanced GALAXY S has a curved glass design that enhances handling of the phone and fits the user’s facial form easily and naturally.
The GALAXY S Advance has a 4-inch 480×800 Super AMOLED touchscreen and supports Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS/GPS and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. A 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 1.3 Megapixel front camera should be enough for snapshots and video chat. The Android phone will be pre-loaded with Samsung TouchWiz UI, Samsung Apps, Polaris Office as well as ChatON, Readers Hub, Music Hub and Game Hub.
The Samsung GALAXY S Advance supports quad-band 850/900/1900/2100 HSPA 14.4Mbps and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. It will be released starting from February in Russia then in CIS, Europe, Africa, Middle East, Southeast and Southwest Asia, Latin America and China.
