Quite after the launch of LG Optimus 3D at Mobile World Congress 2011, LG is back with the next generation 3D smartphone LG Optimus 3D Cube. LG introduced this smartphone in Korea and soon it is expected to hit any of the U.S carriers. Apparently, this master-piece is expected to appear on-stage at Mobile World Congress 2012.
As a 3D smartphone, the Optimus 3D Cube sports dual 5 Megapixel cameras for recording 3D still images and Full HD videos. It even includes 3D video editing functionality, so that users can edit 3D videos right on the device.
The 3D Cube packs a glasses-free, 4.3-inch display with an 800x480 pixels resolution, and two 5-megapixels cameras at the back to record 3D. You also get 16GB of onboard storage and NFC capability, complete with LG's new ‘LG Tag' NFC stickers, allowing you to configure certain settings to an NFC sticker and activate them on your phone.
Unfortunately, the device will be running on Android 2.3 at launch with no word of an ICS upgrade, but we are sure LG is planning to introduce the Ice Cream Sandwich update very soon.
The LG Optimus 3D Cube is expected to land in South Korea before the end of March, but we should also expect a global release soon after.
