Samsung Galaxy S3 launch date tipped for April [,samsung,galaxy,s3,smartphone,galaxy s3,handset,Samsung Galaxy S3 ,Exynos processor,Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich,1.5GHz quad-core,]

The much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 reportedly confirmed to be launching next month, according to Korea Media, which have made mention of the upcoming smart phone’s launch date.
What would you like to see Samsung include within its next-generation Samsung Galaxy S3 handset?

Samsung has often released their flagship devices first in Europe, with Asia and Americas following the suits. So this report is very much believable, though it is tough to understand why Samsung is happy with these deliberate leakage of information.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs

Far from the first time the third-generation Galaxy S handset has had its claimed specs splashed across the web, the latest rumours, which came courtesy of gadget blog Boy Genius Report, suggested the iPhone 4S rival will land with a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor and Google’s latest mobile operating system, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Further marking the Samsung Galaxy S3 out as the leader of the smartphone market, the latest reports have suggested the handset will boast a 4.8-inch display with a stunning Full HD 1080p resolution and a film friendly 16:9 aspect ratio.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date

Originally widely expected to be the showpiece of MWC 2012, Samsung confirmed earlier this month that it would hold off the Samsung Galaxy S3 release until later in the year.

“The successor to the GALAXY S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product,” an official spokesperson for the Korean tech giant announced.

Since Samsung’s disappointing revelation, the Galaxy S3 launch has become a thing of much speculation with latest reports suggesting Samsung will out its new flagship handset in April.

Nokia 808 PureView Symbian Smartphone with 41 Megapixel Camera [,nokia,808,pureview,smartphone,symbian,belle,41 megapixel, sensor, nokia 808 pure view smart phone

Nokia’s 808 PureView smartphone was announced recently, and the Symbian Belle smartphone features one of the highest resolution cameras to be found in a mobile device with a 41 megapixel sensor.
It sounds a bit outlandish. In fact, some people were upset with Nikon for putting 36-megapixels on a full-frame sensor in their new D800. But, Nokia's technology is a bit different than the brute-force megapixel attack of days past. The 808 can take photos up to 38-megapixels in resolution, checking in at 7728 x 5354, but it doesn't seem like they intend for you to do that all too often. Their intention was to combine those pixels to make better 5- or 8-megapixel images.
Nokia says it’s 2.5x bigger than the indicator in the Nokia N8, which has presented the headline of “best camera cellphone on the market” since it began delivery back in August 2010. To be able to fit that indicator in the PureView, it obviously has to be a bit beefier. We’re discussing 13.9 mm at the slimest factor and a huge 17.95 mm at the thickest factor. It’s a small price to pay for all you camera snobs. Oh and of course unique actual Xenon display in this thing. Better yet, in addition, there’s an LED lighting for use while producing video!

The Nokia 808 PureView runs the Symbian Belle operating. It features a 4-inch 640×360 AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, GPS/AGPS support, DLNA and HDMI output. You can also find built-in FM radio and Dolby Headphones technology that transform stereo content into a personal surround sound experience over any headphones and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel surround sound playback. The 808 supports quad-band GSM and WCDMA/HSPA 14.4Mbps mobile networks.

Nokia 808 PureView comes in black, red and white. No words yet on availability and pricing.

LG Optimus 3D Cube Smartphone Unveiled ,lg,optimus,3d cube, smartphone, LG Optimus 3D Cube,

Quite after the launch of LG Optimus 3D at Mobile World Congress 2011, LG is back with the next generation 3D smartphone LG Optimus 3D Cube. LG introduced this smartphone in Korea and soon it is expected to hit any of the U.S carriers. Apparently, this master-piece is expected to appear on-stage at Mobile World Congress 2012.

As a 3D smartphone, the Optimus 3D Cube sports dual 5 Megapixel cameras for recording 3D still images and Full HD videos. It even includes 3D video editing functionality, so that users can edit 3D videos right on the device.

The 3D Cube packs a glasses-free, 4.3-inch display with an 800x480 pixels resolution, and two 5-megapixels cameras at the back to record 3D. LG reveals Optimus 4X HD, with ICS and quad-core Tegra 3 ,lg,optimus,lg optimus,lg optimus HD,android,tegra3,ice cream sandwich,LG X3,

The LG Optimus 4X HD has been officially unveiled prior to Mobile World Congress. This 4.7-inch beast will hit Europe in the second quarter and is its first to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core Tegra 3 as its benchmark destroying CPU, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS LCD (1280x720) plus what appears to be a lightly customized version of Ice Cream Sandwich.
This device has the Tegra 3′s four main CPU cores and the fifth low-power drive bringing this processor and therefor this phone the world’s only smartphone-sized 4-plus-1 core-toting smartphone device on earth. This device also comes with no less than the newest version of Google’s own Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the newest version of the group’s world-class mobile operating system. The Optimus 4X has the ability to output video to HDMI via its own MHL port, DLNA support, and a brand new version of LG’s user interface over Android with as much customizability as you can handle.
We had previously referred to the LG Optimus 4X HD as the LG X3, but that was clarified earlier this morning; little did we know that we’d have an actual shot of the device with a few specs to show for it later on. This will definitely be at the top of LG’s lineup, so it’s expected to hang with the best of them. The LG Spectrum’s display is absolutely stunning, so it will be nice to see ICS over a similar, yet larger, screen.

Nokia MWC phones to be showcase Pure View camera? ,nokia, windows phone, symbian handset, camera, nokia camera, smart phone,

A new teaser video from Nokia prompts us to expect some mighty-fine camera improvements as part of its new MWC handsets

Expect Nokia to be crowing about cameras when it unveils its smartphone line-up for the first half of 2012 at MWC.

The Finns released a teaser video on Tuesday hinting at dramatically improved camera tech for its smartphones, known in the clip as 'Pure View.'

The video, which can be seen below, shows-off a series of images that showcase Pure Definition, Pure Detail and Pure Depth and promises that all will be revealed at MWC on Monday 27th February in Barcelona.

In the build-up to MWC there's been plenty talk of Nokia launching Windows Phone and Symbian handset so it remains to be seen whether the Pure View enhancements will launch on one, the other or both platforms.

The company has long been heralded for its high performance camera phones, largely thanks to the Carl Zeiss lenses that have headlined devices like the N95, right up to the impressive N8. We're excited to see what the next stage of that evolution involves at MWC next week.

LG Optimus Vu device launched ahead of MWC 2012, with stylus, 1.5GHz CPU ,Lg,optimus,vu,optimus vu,lg optimus vu,tablet, smartphone,

LG unveils its interpretation of a smartphone/tablet hybrid with the 5-inch Optimus Vu. The launch comes a week before its official debut at MWC in Barcelona

LG has continued its recent trend of launching flagship products before the curtain rises on major events with the official arrival of the LG Optimus Vu smartphone/hybrid tablet device.

After the early unveiling of the 55-inch OLED TV before CES, LG has chosen the week before MWC to release a 5-inch handset, which brings a 4x3 aspect ratio 1024x768 resolution LCD screen promises a greater viewing experience for movies, books, multimedia and internet content.
The device, which will be on the LG stand at MWC, will look to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note device and, like the rival device also comes toting a stylus.

In the engine room there's a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, backed up by a larger-than-usual 2080mAh battery. The Optimus Vu will arrive running Android 2.3 Gingerbread but LG assures the world that an upgrade to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich won't be far behind launch (we've heard that before).

There's an 8-megapixel camera and for US users it'll be 4G LTE ready. All this inside a handset just 8.5mm thin.

Many of us wondered whether there was really a demand for these hybrid devices following the launch of the Galaxy Note device. Was it too big to be a phone or too small to be a tablet? It seems LG thinks Samsung was on the right track.
We're excited to go hands-on with the LG Optimus Vu at MWC which kicks-off in Barcelona next week.

Battle of the Superphones: Apple iPhone 4S Vs Samsung Galaxy Note

Apple has been creating waves in the Smartphone industry ever since it introduced the latest iPhone 4S in the market. The phone garnered in immense response from around the globe and has broken all records in terms of sales and bookings for any mobile phone in history.

However Apple’s main rival Samsung did not want to sit idle and watch as Apple gulp a majority share in the premium smartphone market. The company came out with the Galaxy Note to compete against the iPhone 4S and today we check out how these two fares when they have a face to face duel.

On the display front it is definitely the Galaxy Note that has the better of the competition as it boasts of a humongous 5.3 inch full touch screen display that is capacitive in nature as compared to the 3.5 inches of the iPhone 4S.

The Note also has a Super AMOLED screen that is much brighter and sharper than the LCD screen of iPhone 4S. The Galaxy also offers more powerful resolution as compared to the iPhone. However in terms of looks, the iPhone 4S is definitely the charmer as it is almost half the size of the Galaxy Note and is lighter by a large margin.

Apart from the size proportion, the other features turn the tides in favour of the Galaxy in a lot more ways than one. It packs in a powerful 1.4 GHz processor and a large 1GB of RAM to offer superlative performance standards. The iPhone does not lag in performance but is equipped with a smaller 800 MHz processor and comes with an onboard 512 MB of RAM. The Note is powered by the Android Gingerbread OS whereas the iPhone is powered by the all new iOS 5 which is needless to say, one of the most advanced OS in the planet. So that is definitely a plus point for the iPhone.
On the camera front, both the phones offer powerful 8 mega pixel cameras that offer 1080p high definition video recording and as such there is pretty much nothing to separate them apart.

If you consider the application support, then it will be difficult for anyone to judge the best as both the android market as well as the Apple App store offer tons of applications that are both free and paid in nature. However apps in the Apple App store are less prone to malicious content as they are strictly censored and tested by Apple before being put up for download in the app store.

The Galaxy Note offers more stand by time whereas the Apple iPhone 4S offers more talk time. Connectivity and internet options abound in both and include, high speed 3G access, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, USB, HDMI, GPS and AGPS.

The Galaxy Note is definitely the economical choice of the two as it comes with a price tag of Rs 29,999 whereas the Apple iPhone 4S 16 GB version starts retailing from around Rs 42000 making it an exorbitantly priced choice.

So for the time being we can judge that the Galaxy Note is a far more economical choice as compared to the iPhone 4S, but as Apple says “ If you don’t have an iPhone, well you don’t have an iPhone”.

LG Miracle Windows Phone video leaked

At present Windows Phone 7.5 doesn't support NFC, yet according to rumours this LG Miracle will come with the feature built in. Windows Phone 8

A LG Miracle video has been leaked showing off the Windows Phone smartphone featuring a number of features including panoramic shooting.

Believed to be running Windows Phone 7 and also sporting Windows 8 ready tech like NFC built-in, it's believed the mid-range handset will be making its debut at Mobile World Congress in just a few weeks.

According to Pocket Now the handset will sport a 4-inch NOVA display, a feature which will surely give it the brightest screen of all the Windows Phone handsets available.

On board you've got the fairly standard 1GHz Snapdragon processor as well as 8GB of storage as well as a 5 megapixel rear-snapper that will record 720p video footage.

LG Miracle video

Most notable is the news that it will probably come with NFC technology which would not only make it fairly futureproof but would also set it up nicely for the transition to Windows Phone 8 later this year.

Windows Phone Tango minimum specs and limitations revealed

New details have been uncovered about the Windows Phone Tango update, by members of the Russian WP7forum, while testing the new OS on a developer device – the HTC Mazaa. While the news brings details about the various improvements that Tango will bring to Windows Phone, it also brings word of the limitations in place for lower-end devices that Tango will enable.

Windows Phone Tango will apparently bring the minimum memory down to measly 256MB RAM, which brings with it the caveat that Windows Phone devices with that much memory will not be able to support all apps, their third-party Live Tiles will not work, and they won’t playback videos with more than a 4Mbps bitrate.

Tango devices with 256MB of RAM also won’t be able to upload images automatically to SkyDrive, and, they don’t support on-phone podcasts management. Windows Phone Tango lowers the bar for the camera on the device as well – the minimum is now 3MP, presumably without 720p HD video recording as mandatory. Improvements come in the form of SIM contacts migration, enhanced roaming options, automatic app update via Zune, more pre-installed apps, more languages and C++ support (as we’ve heard before), as well as improved MMS capabilities finally featuring audio/video support, and multiple photo attachments.

Motorola's first Intel mobile device revealed, with Android 4.0

We were expecting the first Intel-Motorola device sooner than later, and MWC looked like the ideal platform to do just that. Leaked information and screenshots however, procured by Pocketnow, have already shown off a phone ahead of the Barcelona event, revealing an Android 4.0 ICS device with an Intel chipset.

The two companies announced their partnership at CES 2012 in January, when Intel also showed the world its reference hardware - boasting of an 8MP camera, 15 fps burst capaility, HDMI 1080p video playback of 6 hours, audio playback of up to 45 hours, as well as 3G talk time of 8 hours, and standby time of 14 days. Q2 2012 was the expected launch period for the first devices, with Lenovo also announcing it will be launching Intel mobile devices soon.

Other Intel-bearing mobile devices, such as the Lenovo K800, have already been officially revealed. Initially, a single-core Medfield Intel Atom Z2460 processor is expected to run the first generation.

The new Motorola Android ICS phone with Intel inside will apparently feature a top-of-the-line mobile camera (presumably 8MP), with instant-on, a dedicated camera button, and a 15 fps burst capture rate.

Motorola Droid RAZR vs Droid RAZR Maxx

Motorola’s Droid RAZR was an instant hit – it is currently one of the most popular Android smartphones on the market, and it really is the flagship for the OS, with even the Galaxy Nexus being unable to compare in overall design and function. But if we’d have to name one drawback of the phone, it would be the relatively short battery life.

It’s not really that short – it’s pretty average, in fact – but Motorola must’ve thought it’s a big issue, since they released a whole new model that definitely fixed that issue: the Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx, which has a 3300 mAh battery and can last up to 21 hours of continuous work on a 4G LTE network – twice the life of the RAZR!

The exterior design

The Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx is pretty much a carbon copy of the Droid RAZR, down to the Kevlar fiber on the back. The only difference is that the Droid RAZR Maxx is slightly thicker, but at 9 mm, it is still thinner than most other high end phones, including the HTC Sensation, LG Nitro HD and the iPhone 4S. The Droid RAZR is, of course, a very impressive 7.1 mm thin, but that doesn’t make it any more portable or easy to hold. In fact, of the two, the Maxx sits better in your hand and is more comfortable to use with two hands.

The internal hardware

The internal hardware is pretty much the same on both smartphones. Everything from the dual core processor to the amount of storage space onboard is exactly the same. The 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a 960×540 pixels resolution remains the same, and it’s simply beautiful – you will be hard pressed to find something wrong with its colors or brightness.

The other hardware features include a separate micro USB and micro HDMI ports, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS, Wifi N, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA compatibility, 4G LTE network support, a 1.3 megapixels camera on the front for video calls and a bigger 8 megapixels unit on the back for photos and HD video (1080p Full HD resolution). There are 16 GB of onboard storage space AND a micro SD card slot for expansion on both devices – Motorola certainly hasn’t skimped on this like other manufacturers.

The performance is equal thanks to the TI OMAP 4430 chipset running inside, aided by the updated version of the PowerVR SGX540 graphics adapter and 1024 MB of RAM. That should be plenty enough for any apps and games. The only difference on the inside is the battery – the Droid RAZR has a pretty big 1780 mAh battery, but the RAZR Maxx has almost double the capacity at 3300 mAh – that’s pretty darn impressive, and hopefully other manufactures will continue the trend (users would definitely love that).

The software

The software on both smartphones is also exactly the same: the RAZR and RAZR Maxx come with Android Gingerbread pre-installed, and Motorola promises that the Ice Cream Sandwich update will be available soon. Of course, the company installed their own customizations, the MotoBlur interface, which doesn’t look all that bad, but I personally think that the default Android skin is good enough.

As you can see, the Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx are pretty much the same handset, with the major difference being that the latter lasts twice or even three times as long (in 3G mode) on a single charge. The extra 1.9 mm of thickness are definitely worth that, and I don’t see why anyone would choose the Droid RAZR over the RAZR Maxx. That seems to be the popular opinion, too. To add insult to injury, Motorola is now offering a developer version of the Droid RAZR (not the RAZR Maxx!) with an unlocked boot loader and no warranty. Still, if you’re not a developer, the RAZR Maxx is the better choice overall, for sure.

Chrome browser launched for Android

Google's Chrome browser (beta) is finally available in the Android Market for free. However, there's a catch. The browser can be installed only on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices - both phones and tablets.

Google seems to have re-imagined the way tabs can be implemented on a browser so that they are easily accessible on both mobile phones and tablets. Rather than having a series of tabs at the top, Chrome has the tabs tiled on the screen, thus making all the information easily accessible for the users. You can flip or swipe between an unlimited number of tabs using intuitive gestures. Yes, I know it sounds a bit confusing right now. That's why we'd encourage you to check out the video embedded at the bottom of this article.
"Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so you can take your personalised web browsing experience with you wherever you go, across devices," Google said in a blog post.

The Chrome browser for Android also has the option of syncing bookmarks, opened tabs and frequently visited websites' list right from the desktop browser itself. The browser also has the option of pre-fetching websites so as to speed up the browsing experience.
